I guess she will keep quiet for a while now. most any time you can see her cleaning either her windows, or her yard, she hates dust, as Nellie used to say any one would have to use a spy glass to see any dirt in her house, & she is an expert cook. got a [[?]] on bread but these painfully neat housekeepers are not always the best ones to make it pleasant companions to live with. he seems to worship her & Pa always liked her, & so did little Sparkie. we have eaten our supper a spider cake strawberries little cakes & tea was our supper. now its after five & I am finishing this letter before carrying it down to the box. by tomorrow it may be hot again. after a week of this cool weather. Smith has just come to mow the lawn. he says the lawn is in better shape than it was last year, the skunks rooting it up must have been a benefit perhaps. I have seen no sign of their being around since & guess the season is not right. I dont think Lena has any idea of what she is going to do. she hates to make a change in a way it seems a good place only she cant live with any one long at a time. perhaps it is the fault with most of us. "too much familiarity breeds contempt" as they say well she will always feel the need of a home its more so as we grow older we cling to home ties. I pity her but its her fault. Ma
