Dear Doris

Te wind since our last shower has got out in the NW and though the sun shines it is cool & the sun seemes good to be out in. I have been working in my flower beds most all the afternoon. this morning I went down town with Alices book & she gave me some more. those discarded books, her house is filled with them. they can be kept & read at leisure so I am sharing them with Mrs. Ballentine. she sat up reading till twelve o'clock Sunday nigh. I have just been over with one I got this morning + she said thats just what I want after working all the morning. now I can rest up & read this book. the girls read them after she gets through. Alice says keep them as long as you want to. I dont want to hurry to get a book read on time. Mrs. Paree has just been once, she is a funny thing & a terrible talker. out in the back yard I managed to keep her & thought she would never sun down. I like her mother & sister Kohane died at last & the sister works. she is a good nice kind hearted girl. I am going to have brown bread toast
