Lottie asked me some time ago if he had paid any thing for storing the car there, but I did not know of course. My tomatoes I planted are large enoug [[enough]] to be transplanted I have just space enough in the garden to set them out & after the next rain I mean to transplant them. my other ones are blossoming & coming along fine there is one little tomato about as big as a marble already. Hattie Packard came home while I was down to Alices [[Alice's]] she had been down to Brant Rock to Frank I's house they brought her up (cousins you know.) she says they own acres upon acres of farming land down there under cultivation every thing is way ahead strawberries & vegetables. she was surprised to see such a forward lot of vegetables. it is their boys Berts he is the farmer they turn everything into money. his uncle furnishes the money. the Goldthwaits are grasping. Frank I. is lazy like his father. but he is well provided for they sell every thing they raize in their store, so it has to come ahead to supply the summer people well Pa is uneasy so I will get him to eating as soon as possible.
