up & sit down a while as they needed me Evelyn said. I felt as though I ought not to as I had left unbeknown [[unbeknownst]] to Pa but I as in a hurry to get back before he missed me but as luck was on my side he never knew I had been away from the premises for which I was thankful for once. It seems as though I had to work on my nerve most all the time. Mrs. Gilzer came once while I was talking with Mrs Ballentine last night & Geo McGarvey & his wife came out to talk in our backyard. So I am seeing more of the neighbors. The Loomeys are getting along fine so Mrs. Gilzer says. They see Frances & his mother & Mrs G. has been good to her while she was sick. I hate to lose her as a neighbor. Later on she will go from the place by next fall her little boy is feeble. He has just had a bad spell. He is a trial to his mother. Any childs [[child's]] disease will go hard with him I am afraid. She seems to like me her husband is notional & every seventh year he is crazy. She looks tough but her nerves are unstrung from her troubles. She goes into Boston once a week for Ostopathic [[osteopathic]] treatments. Sky Grant did not show up but now I dont [[don't]] need him, as I got along nicely without him. I have just had my supper. The sun is coming out bright at last. It will be a nice day tomorrow I think. My robin is sitting on her eggs. Painting did not disturb her much I am happy to say. So now I will close the letter for now Ma.
