Stoughton Dec 13th 1933

Dear Doris

The snow storm that was to come yesterday, has made its appearance it has come to day. I hope it takes some of the chill from the air. While the painters were home to dinner. Mrs Osbourne & I took advantage & brightened up our clock & a few things that were looking dull around the rooms. I told Louise & he said it was all right. he intended to over the clock & asked if we washed it first & she said she did. she is as crazy to do things like that as I am & between us we had a good time varnishing over our rocking chairs & table legs. when he painted the house I did T doors in the back room besides [[Lids?]] out side door to the little den. I am still waiting for James to make his appearance its after one o' clock now. I will have to get him to take me down to pay my telephone bill. Louis is through & has put in the window to the sleeping [[porch?]]. I offered him the pay for the bushel of apples he brought up the said he would give me the apples; for a Xmas present, & later on he would bring me some russets, as he heard me say I was fond of them. she has washed all the sash curtains & ironed
