by him whose right arm is like my leg & in great pain he can get his hand up to his head now & another one who came with the muscles of the leg torn away I guess caused by a strain. the Dr says it may be six months he will be laid on the shelf. as it will keep getting away from place every time there is any weight put on the muscles by his walking
& the clot of blood growing bigger every time. They treated me to some candy she gave me two peppermints after I had eaten one pink wintergreen one & gave Jim a helping. then the doctor treated a patient Kate Flemming. who took what was left & Miss O [[Brian?]]
was so thunder struck she laid her head on mine & told me she took the whole box. I guess her shock must have affected her brain I said. we all had a great laugh even the Dr came out of her room where he was rubbing her arm laughing to kill. I guess Miss Flemming does not have much candy given her. she has a big pod on her it does not look natural. I heard the nurse tell her she ought to reduce. she will probably have another shock & that will take her suddenly. Ralph & Maude called yesterday afternoon they appeared the same as usual. she looked pale but he was fat & smiling as usual. I showed them Dorioids little letters. they thought she did pretty well & I think she is improving pretty fast too Ma.
