We have enough to eat. it was pea soup & pudding rice & tapioca. to day she is very fond of fruit. I get oranges & apples, she likes jam. I am eating my apple sauce still, she & Pa eat pear sauce Lena put up. I am going to have Louie bring me some more apples if he ever comes near to do our kitchen. I have not seen him since he finished the porch, Tomorrow I mean to order some lamb from the publick [[Public]] Market & celery soup, which we are very fond of. she is not one to cook much ahead scarcely any pies mostly puddings & never sets any thing on the table but fills our plates from the dish she cooks it in on the stove. she is a very small eater. well I am not very full of news to day. it is going to rain to night it was very frosty this morning roofs were white with frost.

Saturday morning Ma
Still cloudy. slept good & Pa came in to my room to see if the pad felt hot early before I got up. he was afraid of the always, he shuts my window up ever time. he complains of his chest a good deal now & then. he cant [[can't]] breathe. he is always hawking & spitting perhaps he is filling up. aside from that he seems all right. but we dont worry he always had some trouble with his throat, Ma
