Stoughton Dec 3rd 1933

Dear Dorris

The day is dismal & rainy. but not as cold two days we had of cold weather after after the holiday yesterday the thermometer got down to 20° above in the morning but warmed up sometime before night with a chill in the night. the rain came in the night & we were glad it was not snow. I did not have to go down to be treated to day he is easing off a little the pain has let up so I dont [[don't]] have much of any. my leg gets tired & stiffens up towards night a bit but he sees I am much improved & says in time its [[it's]] going to be all right. I am walking much better now. the foot swells a little as there are so many loose muscles there around the ankle. Mrs Silzer is coming for me around two o'clock to come up there for me to see her house & is going to bring me home between three or four. she has told me she would come to see the new place after she had it all first to rights. I think its suiting her better than it did as she had it all done over she is very particular
