Dear Doris

The day is fine, the warmest & sunniest yet. I have just walked down through the grove to Seaver Street & back & never use a cane. the nurse phoned up to say they had no use for me to day. so tomorrow I go. we have got a piece of pork for a roast for tomorrow she does'nt [[doesn't] care for fowl & turkeys are too much for our family I see she has just made an apple & a squash pie. I told her to put more milk & less squash in her pie, which she did & it looks fine. she is very fond of fresh pork & so are we. she cooks it well the Dr says if it is well cooked its no worse to eat than chicken. & its cheaper & easy to prepare.
