Dear Doris

It is windy & seems like snow Pa has just said its the last place I'm going to bed. he took my cape & laid down on the front room couch. he is afraid he will die up stairs alone now I think. I have had him write something so to see if he has forgotten how to do that, but he has not it seems. I went down to the hospital but the Dr was not there. Miss O Brine treated me but she could not masarge [[massage]] so she used the violet ray treatment under a powerful glass with her foot on the electric instrument. I guess its for the nerve. She was right in her elements today a little boy baby was born there in the hospital Sunday & she officiated. had charge of the whole case & even told to a few minutes when it was going to be born I guess they not noticed it was tonguetied [[tongue-tied]] untill [[until]] she told them. she said she would bring it down to let me see him. she loves babies & has always been in a maternal ward I guess before coming here, she is full of confidence & is smart she [[see go?]] that Harold Smith can hear his car. so they are helping him some. I dont think they will be able to do much
