Dear Doris

Pa has just come down from having an after dinner nap he is always uneasy when he is cold. it rained about midnight & cleared off windy & cold. I hailed the oilman when he was over to the next house & had him give us some oil. I go down this afternoon to the doctors. he says to keep on as my leg in coming but I will gain nothing in the end by coming every other day. its [[it's]] stubborn but I can see the muscle is fast filling out its [[it's]] hardening like the other one & just as big. I compare them there is nothing flabby about it its [[it's]] hard & solid & not much pain about it either. I wish there could be an end to it as well as you do. but it would do no good to stop now, as he & the nurses both say that it is doing fine. if it had'nt [[hadn't]] come on me so late in life it would have paid but now I feel as if I was not worth spending so much money for. but I was suffering so I was ready to do anything to stop it. They have had a high school girl who had exeama [[eczema]] up & down her right arm she had been to these doctors one was Owing none of them cure her she came to the hospital & Dr Brides cured her in ten treatments. she has been unable to pay him & is painting the upstairs room one of them. she is is very handy with her paint brush.
