Stoughton Nov 24th 1933

Dear Doris, 

Another pleasant day but cold & frosty this morning. I think snow is in the air. we are just through our after dinner tea its 3 o'clock Pa has just come down to get warm.  We had Harris here to shave him, he comes early now. Pa slept but I failed to get to sleep I was nervous & it was after 11 o'clock but I had a nap since eating dinner. I have not quite made up my mind to get up a dinner for much of a thanksgiving. she dont [[don't]] care much for fowl and is a very small eater pork she likes better & ham also liver. she had eight of her children to his house for supper last night. they each of them brought something her son works in Belehers had a live turkey he won at some thing he was going to save it for Xmas as his folks go home to Plymouth to his wifes [[wife's]] folks thanksgiving. she brought home a beautiful apple red apple it came from the [[A?]] it was handsome & a fine flavor such as they eat on their table. her children are very devoted to her & they have good dispositions. all of them I should guess. their lives are
