Dear Doris
It is trying to clear off the sun has shone out through the clouds. We have just had our "eye opener". as Mrs Osborn calls our afternoon tear now i will write a few lines to you, it lucky I picked my chrysanthemums befor the snow storm that tallest one at the corner of the little building is not out it is the latest + the thriftiest looking will send you a blossom later on its single + a dark crimson with a yellow centre not very pretty as it looks now. leaves are all over everything + all but the oaks are bare yesterday was a wintry day, Mrs Osborn carried the green chair that sat on the sleeping porch up into my room I was afraid the dampness would take off the gloss last night + Miss O'Brine invited me to go to Brockton shopping with she + the Doctor. but it was too cold + I could not stand around on my leg so long so it did not appeal to me much. out heat went on during the night, so this morning it seemed nice + warm in the house. she slept later this morning.
