Well the day is far spent- its four o'clock & the little housekeeper & I have had our "eye opener" as she calls our afternoon tea. next comes Pa's supper he is down here for it now. she makes cup cakes but has to hide them he eats some up so fast. we should not get a taste otherwise. she likes her tea but is not a big eater english customs. a very good & generous passion on the whole. she gets up around six every morning Pa is such an early bird he is down for his breakfast. so she gets up to keep him from dipping into the food. he goes to bed early & our evenings are quiet. I have just found the box of pieces & the stockins on the top shelf in in the hall aleone so now I am all night, I am all fixed for patchwork & can change my stockins in the morning. Pa has gone up stairs after eating his supper. its most time for our meal she gets it later & then the evenings are not so long. Ma
