I called up Mike Dykeman & told him to call for his money. I did not send you  his bill, he must have got your address from Ralph. Lindelof came up yesterday & fixed the flush so now it works all right. Pa has not washed his face & hands since you left but changed his shirt before Harris came to shave without any trouble. he is very quiet these days & more natural never gets on his high horse. I have been sitting out on the sun porch its warm to day I had a good night without pain my leg is not aching so much only as I lay down. 

The leaves are turning fast & falling. I got Jim to take me down to the BP Market & so he came in after my meat & Miss OBrine said her sister thought I was Dr Brides mother. Been coming in as I did with James, so she was in the hospital & Miss O'Brine introduced us today. she says they are willing to bring up any thing if its only one article as they go past our house every day & she keeps us posted when they have sales on things. today we had a nice piece of roast lamb young meat & it was very tender & good flavored. Pa is eating very heartily still. How much money is due the woman at the end of the month? I want to get it straight so please let me know. Ma
