The little nurse tells me that I have magnetic eyes & she says the superintendent spoke of it. I try to get her to liking the young man nurse but she says he turned her down for another one & then wanted to go again with her & she said no she thinks I rate him too highly she says he is good but she has no use for him since. his mentality is not up enough for her he seems a very nice young man & very gentlemany. he is an intern. the sun is out at last no sun the biggest part of the day I never saw such funny weather. but as long as we are not roasting I wont complain. Mrs Gilzer has not been over for a day or two she has company to day be she may run over to night a little while. I called up the Bruces yesterday & they brought me over a months rent & promised more in a few days. there must be a leak in their water pipe some where for they run over again this year it ought to be seen to. they are supposed to pay for all they run over the $7.00 but it must be looked into. sooner or later seems to me. the boy says he still holds the job. which I am glad he does. Pa is staying up stairs most all the time he hates my soups and theres [[there's]] nothing much he relishes but junkets yesterday he had two & then asked me for half of mine so as I have got sick of the darn things I let him eat it he hogs it down like a hungry hound dog Ma.
