Stoughton Aug 10th 1933

Dear Doris

This is a partially cloudy coolish day. I went down to the hospital early & received a through going over the nurse & Dr. Brides were very sociable & we laughed & talked all the time during the treatment. she has a sister who is in the public market they come from Brockton, they are red headed, she is white with a sandy tint to her brown hair, rather good looking. but the sisters hair is red so Mrs Gilzer says. the doctor is teaching her to drive the big car. he thinks she is about it & she worships his skill. they between them about baked my limb, they are anxious for me to get out of so much pain. he asks me if it is lower down then it was. I ate those Cape blueberries, they were a little tart, but I relished them all the more & they bound me so I guess it had a tendency to bind me up a little & I laid it to that as the cause of my bad painful night, it seemed an awful long night, but I have been making up through the day some. I took a sun bath before they came after me, but this afternoon the sun is too clouded in. he says the sun bath is good for it. I am getting pretty well acquainted with him & enjoy seeing him when anything
