her last three days he said these hard days now are passing over her go home & if she gets through them there may be a chance for her but she did'nt [[didn't]] survive the third day. we are governed by those no doubt say what you will. there are people who are interested & make them their study. I am sorry about Fred Snell he was earning a good salary, is his mother still living & on his hands. money slips through his fingers too easily perhaps. I slept last night but had lots of pain between times the nights are the worst. Pa sleeps both day & night he does not take off his clothes. I was having my good morning nap just when I can sleep the best & I felt his cold hand laid against my cheek it was six o'clock he is sure to do that every time even if I have been wakeful two thirds of the night. he could never wash himself in the morning & I have to fight him every time to make him change his clothes its bad enough without having him so balky. he wont help me at all unless he feels in the mood Mrs. Gilzer says his uncle was just the same they take those same freaks. he died of a shock. Pa is terrible obstinate when I ask him to do things & he says he is not able. I am going to have just tea & a junket for my dinner was hearty I had butterfish & guess it was too hearty I ate it late & am not hungry for supper. I would like some ice cream Mrs. Gilzer makes lovely cream & is very generous of it. Pa eats his & comes over for some of mine. he like all things made of milk well I will start my supper Ma.
