III. As the buildings now used as a Freedmen's hospital at this Post have been restored to their owner by order of Maj Genl O.O. Howard Comr Bureau Refugees and Abandoned Lands thereby breaking up the said Hospital, and it being impossible to procure other buildings and it being necessary that the capacity of the Hospital at Davis' Bend, should be increased to receive such patients from this city as cannot otherwise be provided for; it is therefore ordered: that D.S. Snively A.A.Surg. USA put up at Davis Bend, Miss. and put in proper condition for the reception of patients the two hospital buildings lately shipped to that place from Young Point Sa. Any portion of this building material in the possession of Captain G.R. Norton. Sub Comr. &c. will be turned over at once to Surg Snively,

I. A Board of Officers is hereby appointed to meet at Davis' Bend, Miss. at 9 o'clock A.M. October 31st or as soon thereafter as may be, for the purpose of hearing and adjusting the Complaints and Claims of Joseph E. Davis, John W. Young, (white men) Phillip Gaiter, Warren Watt (colored) and such other parties as may have complaints of abuse, detention of property, or dishonesty on the part of officers or Citizens on Davis' Bend.

The Board will sit without regard to hours. The orders of the recording officer of the Board for the appearance of witnesses, parties
