I have the honor to report that nothing of consequence occurred here since my last report. I have given as regularly aid and advise to freedmen. I have witnessed a contract between two col. boys resp. their mothers and a white party. As to Circular No 5 C.S. from Hdqrs Asst. Commiss State of N.C. I have to report, that I attended every Court in this Co. and paid particular attention to indentures made by the Courts. None was made to my knowledge except when the children were brought into Court and alleged to be orphans or with the consent of their parents [[strikethrough]] and I am so informed also by the Clerk of the Co.
