TO PROPERTY OWNERS ON FIFTH AVENUE BETWEEN 48TH AND 60TH STREET AND ON SIDESTREETS IN THE VICINITY OF 52ND STREET AND FIFTH AVENUE:

IMPORTANT NOTICE- Re: PROPOSED THEATRE AT 1 EAST 52ND STREET

I desire to inform you that a public hearing will be held before the Honorable Paul Moss, Commissioner of Licenses, at his office, #6 Reade Street, on Wednesday, September 9, 1936, at 3 o'clock, in connection with the application which has been made by the Gramercy Realty Corporation for a permit to operate a motion picture theatre at 1 East 52ND Street (659/663 Fifth Avenue).

My purpose in writing is to suggest that you arrange to be personally present at this hearing, or send a representative to speak on your behalf, so that formidable opposition from the property owners may be presented to the Commissioner, in an effort to secure the denial of the permit.

I should appreciate your advising me if you will attend or who will represent you.

Yours very truly

Thomas W. Hughes
