TO OUR MEMBERS--and

To the officers and directors of corporations in our membership

The enclosed ballot is sent to you as a result of the decision of our Board of Directors to hold a poll of our membership representation in order to determine the position The Fifth Avenue Association should take upon the important question of repeal or modification of the Eighteenth Amendment. Please fill it out and return it to us promptly.

We realize that, in addition to your own representation with our Association, there are many other officers, directors, and members of firms in the Association who should vote in this referendum to insure that the result will unquestionably express the opinion of the varied and important interests represented here. In order that we may send out these additional ballots, will you please send us the names of any officers, directors, or members of your firm who should receive them. Write the names in the space provided on the back of your ballot and return it to us.

Final returns must be in before May tenth, so your ballot should be returned promptly to permit us to send additional ballots to any other officers or directors suggested by you.

An addressed, prepaid envelope is enclosed for your convenience in replying.

Very sincerely yours

Wm J. Pedrick
