Dear Mr. Seligmann, I was requested by FRANCE FOREVER, the organization of the Free French in America, to be Chairman of a meeting to be held in its behalf. The purpose of this meeting is to raise funds to help the Free French Information Services and to allow them to make known in this country the prominent and vital part played by the Free French in the present conflict. I truly believe that these activities of FRANCE FOREVER are contributing largely in developing the American public opinion the friendly feeling shown toward the resisting French. It is easy to realize what consequence this public feeling, which FRANCE FOREVER can build up, may have on the conduct of the war today. I know that many of our friends prefer to give to the full extent of their means to some relief organization. I also know that you are doing your utmost to help the American activities, but, one of the most powerful weapons for the fight against the Axis is the spreading of true information in order to destroy the effects of their vicious propaganda, and certainly the relief itself will benefit from the greater interest Americans will show towards the Free French. Therefore, it seems to me, that the cause for which we are organizing this drive at least as important, if not as appealing, as the one of the relief societies. This is why I invite you to tea at the: A Free France A Free America. A Free World [[left margin]] [IMAGE] France Forever OFFICERS MR, EUGENE J, HOUDRY, PRESIDENT PROF. FRED G.
