New York, May 6th, 1942.

Dear Mr. Seligman:

The importance of the Free French movement becoming more evident every day, it is the wish of the Committee of Militants of FRNACE FOREVER to increase its activities in the city of New York. In order to meet the requirements of our new program, we have decided to divide Manhattan in 6 different sections. This will facilitate the grouping of residents of the same sector in view to centralize and direct their activities on behalf of Free France.

We plan to establish the second section (Middle East) which starting to the East of Fifth Ave. up to the East River, covers from the North side of 42nd St. to the South side of 72nd St. Appreciative of the interest you have shown in the cause of Free France, we take the liberty of soliciting your cooperation in this undertaking and we hope you will be willing to serve on the temporary committee of your locality.

Your sympathy has made you aware of the effective participation of the Free Frenchmen everywhere in the Allied war effort and we feel that you will not refuse us your support in the action we contemplate. This request is being sent to a limited number of persons, also. As soon as replies are received, a meeting for the members of the temporary committee will be held to decide the date, time and program of the public meeting for your sector.

Please, find enclosed a stamped envelope. Looking forward and thanking you for your prompt and favorable answer, I am

Very truly yours,

FRANCE FOREVER
For the Committee of Militants

Emile L. CABELLA, General Secretary.
P.S.- Our plans regarding the First Section have so far pre ressed that a public meeting of the members of this section will be held, May 13th at 8.30 P.M. in the Auditorium of the Manhattan High School of Women's Garment Trades, 129 East 22nd St. You are cordially invited to attend.
