Dear Muriel:

I suppose you were quite surprised by my early morning call last week, but I truly was concerned about your flying in such weather, and furthermore, I certainly would not have wanted you to come here and find the gallery closed. I am told that several people in the Squibb Building were injured by flying debris, and I know that two or three of Bergdorf's windows were shattered.

Our MASTER DRAWINGS exhibition which has gone so well, will close tomorrow and your beautiful little Troyon will be shipped to you in New Orleans as early as possible next week, by Prepaid Air Express. As we will be most anxious to know that it has arrived safely, will you please return one of the enclosed copies, signed, when it has been unpacked?

And as you mentioned or rather inquired, whether a check has arrived in connection with the Baron Gros painting of the museum, I should tell you that nothing has come up to the moment.

I've heard nothing further from Buffie Johnson, but as I said to her when we were there, I would like to hear when she has other new paintings. As a matter of fact, I dont even remember her address - but it is up to her to get in touch again, anyway.

Perhaps on your next visit you will be able to spare one lunch hour, so that we can just have a leisurely conversation!

Very best wishes, Muriel,

Mrs. Theresa D. Parker
