Dear Muriel:

Our mail really does seem to be messed up. As you are perfectly correct, your previous check must have gone astray and, of course, I hope it ultimately gets back to you.

On the other hand, I was so delighted to have the Woodward booklet that I wrote you right away, but whether to New York or to New Orleans, I do not recall. He was one of the nicest gentleman I ever have known and I am pleased that a permanent record has been made about his personal achievements.

My present plans are to leave New York on the morning of Friday, the 30th, which means there is a very short interval between your arrival and my departure. So if we cannot work thing out I shall look forward to seeing you in the Fall.

With every possible good wish,

Theresa D. Parker
