Memo on publicity for d'Arenberg collection:

Greater part of week consolidating and checking the periodicals, especially ecclesiastical, about what they would like to do on the exhibition. Many editors request to see some of the mss. early in September.

ANTIQUES Magazine will run a short piece and possibly black-and-white photograph.

Arranged with the art editors of LIFE, LOOK, and CHARM and with Mrs Parker for viewings of the mss. at Manhattan Storage.

On Thursday Mrs. Parker and I met with and discussed the collection with Mrs. Willard at LOOK, Miss Seiberling at LIFE, and Miss Penelis at CHARM. The latter chose one illumination which she will reproduce in full colour for their December issue. Both Life and Look have not definitely committed themselves, although Mrs. Willard definitely will do something in Quick. She awaits the return of Fleur Cowles for a decision about LOOK.
The appointments were made separately and were approximately an hour duration for each.

Received letters from the Library of Congress (personal contact who will keep information strictly confidential) and from Canon West of the Episcopal Church both giving list of important persons to notify when the time arrives for contacting bibliographic and ecclesiastic groups.
