Dear Dr. Friedlaender:

How extremely kind of you to have so very promptly answered my letter, and I thank you ever so much for sending me your opinion on my French Primitive.

Should I succeed in having an enlargement made of the head of the one particular angel I have in mind, I shall send it on to you, not that I would have the affontry to argue with you, but just because it may be of interest, in view of the fact that this field of French Primitives is still comparatively little known.

Please do not forget that I will be only too pleased to send you, off and on, packages of things that you may be in need of. Therefore, do not hesitate to call upon me.

Meanwhile, I trust you received the airmail paper. It isn't exactly what I would have liked to forward, but was the best I could find at that very moment. Should you not be completely satisfied with it, I will try to secure another type.

I have written a book on the "Drawings of Georges Seurat", which has just come out, and if I thought that you would care to have a copy it would give me much pleasure to send you one.

With renewed thanks and personal regards,

Sincerely yours,

(Germain Seligman)
