Sir; You can prepare to reopen your school for freedmen on the 1st. Monday in Dec. and employ, one asst if your school number not less than 75 pupils.
      
I will pay you $45 per month and your asst. $25 per month.

I wish you to call the colored people together and have them choose five of their most intelligent men as school directors whose business it shall be to visit the school as often as they think proper and to provide money to meet all the contingent expenses of the school, i.e. for fuel, etc.
 
After the board is chosen have them organize [[?]] choosing one of their number for Prest. and one for Sec. and report to me
