I think there is a better state of feeling toward the northern teachers than there was last term. I am glad of it. We are quite comfortably situated but feel that need of more teachers.

Lieut. A. P. Buffum, commissary at Macon says he can not send us a bbl of flour with free transportation. Is that correct? Bames orders me to send what books I can not dispose of to Mr. Harper Augusta Ga. I wonder if it is to be at my expense? That would be rather hard, I think to pay freight on the books here and then pay again to Augusta. Hoping to hear from you soon I am very respectfully yours
