and I thought of giving up the School, but Mr. Harrington told me that he would see the agt of the Bureau in Macon and try and have the School kep up My intentions was to close the School on the 15th of this month, but since I saw Mr. Harrington I thought that I would wait, and see if I could not get help from the Government, as I have got the School this far advanced. I should like to kepe it up if this is eney way that I could get a reasonable salery. the Freedmen in this place ar verry poor and are not able to keepe up the Schoole as the White people have no School hear I think that if My School was made a free School that I could get Fifty or Sixty Schollars and if you will be so kinde as to inform me wheather it could be made a free Schoole you will do me a great favior for if I can not get assistance from some [[since?]] I shal have to give it up. I shal have to bring this a close hoping to hear from you soon
