List of books for the Freedmen School at Brunswick Ga

1/2 Doz Primers 1 Doz 1st & 1 Doz 2nd Readers
1 Doz Smiths little Speller I think this the best
1 Doz Slates & Some Pencils To practice writing
3 Doz Coppy books and 2 Doz Inks small black

We can get away with this small lot for the present as many got tired waiting and bought books and many others are not able to buy books at any price. I have expended $2.40 out of my own pocket for books for those who had not the means nor friends to buy them and if you have or can get any books to bestow such as are able to pay for them nor able to earn money please send 1/2 Doz extra primers 1/2 Doz Spelling books & 1/2 Doz 1st Readers
You can send those by Steamer or as freight and send any by mail the bill and duplicate bill of laden
