Dear Sir -- I received yours today and am glad that you propose coming down here once more to Savannah and think when upon the ground that you will modify your plans for supporting the schools and limiting the number of teachers. If you call all teachers I reported to you and send one half away and leave the other half only to do the work I am afraid the amount of good done elsewhere by those sent away will not compensate for the injury done here. Then comes the question who are to go. Mr Alvord and Gen Howard say that whoever goes the teachers of the S.E. Association must not be disturbed in this work. There are fifteen of
