I received your letter yesterday stating you would pay me $30 a month to teach the colored children if I could get as much as 40 scholars there is fully 200 here in this place to go to school I have been talking to the leading men I mean Freedmen and they are very anxious for me to take the school. Henry Nelson sends a letter with mine
