Thomasville Feb 6. 1867.

Mr. Eberhart

I enclose the school reports for the month of January. I received your letter of the 29th prox., but have not yet conpleted the purchase you authorized me to make.

Mr. Flanigan, the Bureau agent for this county has received your circular and he wishes me to state - that he has no authority outside his county; so that it will not be his duty to attend to the schools formerly reporting to the late Major O'Niel.

My school is in a prosperous condition, although there is still very bad management about their $40.00 per month.

I enclose you a letter from a teacher in the southern part of this county showing that the people there have taking a lively interest in their schools.

Your's Respectfully,
N. A. Pyne.

Transcription Notes:
prox. is for proximo which is usually used to denote a date in a future month, I think the writer meant to use ult. for ultimo which is used to denote date in previous month, unless they could see into the future in 1867, made changes and corrections
