Montello Ga.
Nov 7th 1865.

To all interested in the church of Christ, especially the colored people of Georgia.

This will advise you of the fact that the baptist church of this place (colored) are indebted to their kind friend who built their house of worship $200.00 dollars, above what they are able to pay, the church being being poor, and weak in numbers; and that they are compelled to ask your aid, that the title and full possession of the house and lot on which it is built may be obtained.

Our brother which bears this, is an ordained Minister of the gospel, pious and exemplary in his deportment, and zealous for the cause of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Any thing, though it be but the mite, of the widow, will be thankfully received..

In behalf of the brethren,
G. W. Pritchett.
