Pair fish hawks seen daily for several days off mouth of Yima R. abt. Feb. 15th.

Nesting of Amazona Ventralis

Nest was in a hollow "vervain" tree
The tree half dead stood in a clearing 100 yds fr. house & same fr. edge of woods. The tree was hollow throughout, but the lower 1/2 of hollow was filled with dirt & debris. The entrance hole was abt. 27 feet fr. ground, but the [[strikethrough]] bottom [[/strikethrough]] nesting on the dirt at bottom was abt. 15 ft. from ground. There were 278 birds [[strikethrough]] entirely [[/strikethrough]] nested except for pin feathers. apparently 3 weeks old. 
The hollow in tree was abt. 9" in diam.
