Dear Doris

Still cool with us but dry everywhere. sorry you have to roast how do you stand it? I finished the nighties this morning, the yarn came yesterday. now I can go to work on that. I got Myrtie to get me a ball & that finished the squares last week. 29 cents I payed. I had a chance to get my electric & telephone bills paid
Mrs Osborne went down & she bought some peaches at the 1st National and coming home a boy was selling raspberries & so she bought a box for 18 cents they were very large & fresh & not a poor one amongst them. the peaches were also very good.

The young man came yesterday to mow the lawn, but found it all brown & dried up so left it with me to send word when it needs to be cut. he works in Belchers factory & for the life of me I cant [[can't]] tell his name he said he was ready to do any thing after he gets through work do you remember his name? I have just got the three water bills Bruce has run over 48 cents worth this time the others are $7 ones. $21.48 in all.
