Ours being one of the largest and perhaps the poorest in the State and having been the theater of several of the most bloody and destructive battles of the late war the Citizens necessarily Suffering Severely and [[strikethrough]] the [[/strikethrough]] destitution prevails generally among the more indigent classes, but up to the present, this destitution has been greatly releived by the liberality of the Government
