| Mahala Fox (col'd) Clifton Fox (col'd) vs. Peter Slaughter Carroll Co. Aug 15/67 | Reports to this office that Peter Slaughter whiped her son Clifton Fox Peter Slaughter was arrested and brought before U.S. Commissioner P.W. Gause, after investigation of the case Slaughter was fined for committing an assault & Battery.|

| Tom Golecco (col'd) Yalobusha, Co August 15th, 1867 | Makes application to this office for his son 17 years of age now with Mr. [[illegible]][illegible] of Carroll Co. to be returned to him. Said Tom Golecco(col'd) in compliance with orders issued from this office, went after his Son at Said ables, brought him home with him without any trouble.|

|Manilla Stoval (col'd) vs Mary Stoval Yalobusha, Co August 15th, 1867 | States that she contracted for the year 1866 with Mrs. Stovall. Mrs S. refused to pay her, wrote to Mrs Stovall to settle the account or the crop would be held for the contract. Received a letter from Mrs. S. denys ever having hired Manilla Stoval but that said Manilla Stoval (col'd) contracted with a freedman the year above written. |

[[strikethrough]] (col'd) [[/strikethrough]] vs. Frank Rice (col'd) Yalobusha, Co August 16th, 1867 | States that Frank Rice (col'd) leaves the place for three or four days at a time without his consent, I informed him James Hocole [[strikethrough]] (col'd) [[/strikethrough]] that he could discharge the freedman Frank Rice (col'd) and settled by arbitration in accordance with General Order No 19. |
