|N.F. Demint (Wht) vs Ned Hill, (Cold) Yalobusha Co August 19th 1867|States that Ned Hill (Cold) has a Contract with him to work for a portion of the Crop. That said freedman refuses to obey his orders in any way. Sent word to Said freedman, Ned that he must comply with his contract and work faithfully until the crop is gathered|

|Simon Hammonds (Cold) VS R.H. Coleman. Carroll. Co August 19th 1867|
|Simon Hammonds, freedman made oath before P. W. Gause, U.S. Comr. that Said Coalman [[Coleman]] drove him of [[off]] his farm, would not Settle with him and threatened his life. Said Coalman was arrested by the Military in Carroll Co brought to this Office. upon an investigation of the Case the Said Hammonds, (COLD) failed to Substantiate the oath taken before the Commissioners in any way. his Statement when both parties met was altogeather [[altogether]] in Conflict with his oath. R.H. Colman [[Coleman]] was released this the 19th day of Augt 1867.|

|Robert Brooks (Cold)  VS  James Harris  Yalobusha Co August 19th/67|
|Brooks made complaint to this office that James Harris (in whose employment he was) had charged him one dollar for loss time in the farm. On investigation found that Said Brooks (Cold) had been summoned by the Military to act as guide. Decided that Harris had no right to make the charge. and release Robert Brooks (Cold) from paying the Same|
