Transcription Notes:
** changed Labou Lyon to Labon Lyon and Joy to Loy [[*Note]]It seems strange - the dates in Complaint No. 7. The person worked during the year of 1866 for seven months. This letter was written in Aug. 1867. So it seems logical that the rest due from Harris would be Oct 1867, not 1865. Charles JOY - look at the capital "T" at top of this image. It isn't like the first letter in Charles' last name. The "J" in "Jan" in his complaint, looks like the first letter in his last name. Joy is a last name on Censuses in Mississippi.
