occurred last year greater in the former than the latter. The failure of the crop of last year is attributable to too much rain in the Spring, too little rain in the Summer and the want of well organized labor to meet these contingencies.
About 9/10ths of the cleared land in this County is in cultivation this year. Something over half of the products of this year will be corn, potatoes, and other necessaries of life.
But little attention comparatively is paid to raising cattle and hogs.
