Aug 6th

Robert Chapman. John Paldore & Peter Harris all Col. complain that they have been working for Mr. [[McNansboy?]] a Boss Carpenter  & cant get their money. I sent for [[McNansboy?]] to report here & explain. he came, said the Boys did not work well &c. but paid them the amount they claimed. Case settled in my office

Emiline Hart.  Col. 
Complains that her husband paid Thos. Hood Col. one dollar for the use of the water in Hoods Cistern and now Hood refuses to let her have any water. Sent for Wood  he came made his statement. I examined witnesses on both sides. Hood has promised to let her have water. Case dismissed.

Aug 7th
Tiana Boyd  Col.
Complains that Ben Miller Col. owes her ten dollars borrowed money he refuses to pay her. I sent for him by letter. He did not appear. Sent Guard for him and brought him. he admits he owes the money. but he has had sickness in his family and can't pay now. has no money. he promises to pay the amount to her in two months. he has nothing at the present. Case dismissed.

Paldore may actually be Polidore. It isn't Paldone. Polidore's are in Mississippi in 1870, and Louisiana. Other spellings that come up were Poladore, Palidore, and Polydore. No Paldore. Col. - Colored
