In compliance with circular letter, dated Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands, Office Assistant Commissioner for State of Miss, Vicksburg Miss June 3rd 1867. I have the honor in behalf of the Board of Registration of Carroll County Miss to submit the following Report to wit:

We are unable to give you exact information as to the number of destitute persons white and colored there are in this County, but approximate the number to be about two hundred persons. The destitution chiefly exists among the white population - there being not more than one sixth of the above number that are colored. We are unable to give you accurate information as to the amount of crop produced in 1866, but believe, cotton was principally produced, and that was almost a total failure, which failure was
