I have only issued [[strikethrough]] they were as follows [[/strikethrough]] during the month of August 196 pounds of Pork and 1370 pounds for Corn to the destitute, both white and black of this district.

[[left margin]] Number of Schools [[/left margin]]
There four schools in the district and their condition is good and there appears a general disposition on the part of the whites & blacks both to increase their number.

[[left margin]] Marital relations of Freedmen [[/left margin]]
The marital relations of the freedmen continues to improve and while there are many who continually disregard their vows and thus produce disturbances the better class of them conduct themselves with propriety.

[[left margin]] Disposition of Whites towards Colored [[/left margin]]
The general disposition of the whites towards the colored people is most friendly and they appear willing to aid and assist them in any way that they are able.

[[left margin]] Complaints & outrages [[/left margin]]
There are some complaints both from white and colored but they are generally easy pacified, and I know of no outrages since last report.

The State Laws are always administered so far as I can judge with great fairness and impartiality in all cases affecting the rights of the colored people.
