Record of Complaints and Decisions made at this Office during part of the Month of August 1867, and furnished agreeable to paragraph 2, circular No" 10, Office Assistant Commissioner, for the state of Mississippi, Vicksburg, Miss. Aug. 10th 1867.

Case 1st August 22nd Charles C. Townsend, (Colored,) charges-
James H. Riley, living at - Hinds County. Miss, with refusing to furnish him with rations according to contract. - Townsend acknowledges himself to have quit working for three weeks without Mr. Riley's consent, the contract particularly states that Townsend shall perform such work as Mr Riley may require of him. 
Decision, Townsend withdraws complaint, - agrees to return and work according to his Contract, Mr Riley agrees to continue furnishing rations as heretofore,
Case 2" Joseph Mitchell (Colored,) charges
Charles Dix, living at Wylee's Plantation, Hinds County, Miss, with driving him off the plantation, for not going in the field when his employer Simon Wilkison put him at work, - After hearing testimony the following is 
Decision Mitchell agrees to return to his place, looks to Simon Wilkison for pay Wilkison is directed that in case Mr Dix refuses to give the money for Mitchells pay as agreed between him and Dix, to report the case to this Office,
