regard to Registering and voting that on at least 1/2 the places visited they had not registered at all.  After a proper explanation from myself generally given in presence of the Planter they desired to register and I told them on what days they could do so, very little opposition has been offered by the planters after my visits. one exception in case of Col. Harry Gilmon which has been reported.

I would most respectfully state that the Order has been a very unpleasant one to comply with the planters invariably considering it a political movement have treated me with undisguised coolness.
