In many of the complaints there were several complainants, Of the first class the decision has been generally in favor of the Freedmen, and acquiesced in by the opposing party.
Of cases of the second class there have been but few from the extreme difficulty the freedmen have in finding men in whom they can trust their cases, and the fact that when such an one is found it is not easy to persuade him to act. The case dismissed. class third, was a frivolous charge.
Of the cases postponed, class four, most were postponed after partial investigation; to secure the attendance of witnesses.
The case under, class five was an assault and battery. Complaints in general are of non payment.
