Case No 17. 
Bason Sims, Complains of B.F. Calhoun - a planter, that he required of him certain work which was not specified in the contract which he refused to perform - whereupon the said Calhoun drove him away. It was shown in the investigation that the work required was but trifling, & was implied in the contract, that Calhoun did not drive him off absolutely, only required him to do the little work referred to, or leave - that he, the said Calhoun had divided the crops fairly.
Bason was required to fulfill his contract. This case was investigated at Scooba the parties  residing about 4 miles below the the station.
11. Plantations visisted, & the freedmen generally doing well.
